Brad Pitt Wins Against Angelina Jolie in Winery Lawsuit

Brad Pitt won his ongoing lawsuit against him Angelina Jolie over the ongoing wine drama of the exes.
According to court documents obtained by Us WeeklyThe California Court of Appeals sided with Pitt, 62, on Wednesday June 24, overturning a lower court’s decision in favor of the Russian businessman. Yuri Shefler to walk in guilt.
In the dock, Pitt said that after Jolie, 51, sold her shares in the winery to Tenute del Mondo, a subsidiary of the Stoli Group, in 2021, she became an “unwilling partner” of Shefler.
Shefler previously argued in his motion to dismiss that he had “little involvement in negotiations for Tenute to buy Miraval.” The lower court sided with Shefler, saying that Pitt “failed to present evidence that Shefler knowingly obtained for himself the benefits of doing business in California.”
However, the Court of Appeal found that the agreement to purchase Jolie’s shares was “governed by California law.” The California court ruled that Shelfer’s appeal was dismissed and that Pitt, along with his investment company, Mondo Bongo, were also allowed to recover costs in their appeal.
“It was the Shefflers and California contacts in the purchase of a California company from a California resident that caused injury to another California resident and the California company that is the subject of the lawsuit,” the ruling reads. “On these facts, Shefler knowingly obtained for himself the benefits of the California forum, and the controversy arose out of his association with the forum. We reverse.”
Jolie’s lawyer Paul Murphy He addressed the decision in a statement Us Thursday, June 25.
“The ruling has no impact on the proceedings, and certainly has no impact on Ms. Jolie’s case,” the statement read. “For now, Ms. Jolie is looking forward to winning this case at trial next year so that their family can focus their energy on healing and moving forward.”
Us Weekly reached out to a Pitt spokesperson for comment.
Pitt and Jolie were together for 12 years and married from 2014 to 2016. They have six children: Maddox, 24, Pax, 22, Zahara, 21, Shiloh, 20, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 17.
The charges began in 2022 after Pitt sued Jolie for allegedly selling his stake in a French company without her consent as outlined in an alleged agreement between them. Jolie previously revealed that there was no consent agreement between the two parties and tried to arrange a purchase with Pitt, who allegedly refused unless the actor signed an NDA.
While Pitt and Jolie have been separated for ten years, their divorce was not finalized until December 2024. Since their separation, Pitt and Jolie’s children seem to have distanced themselves from their father. Shilo, Maddox and Zahara have taken legal action to remove their father’s surname. Vivienne, on the other hand, was once credited as Vivienne Jolie when she worked on the Broadway show. Outsiders.
The latest Us cover story, said the source Us that Pitt is “frustrated” by his children’s decisions to change their names.
