According to audio obtained by TMZ on Thursday, June 25, the Doubling Down With Derricos alum, 46, was on the phone with some of the 14 children she shares with her ex-husband Deon Derrico. The argument escalated when Karen appeared to criticize one of her children by calling her a “liar.”
“Don’t you ever do that again, don’t you ever live and call me a liar, you don’t know what’s going on,” he scolded. “You don’t know that, don’t you dare call me a liar because you don’t.”
One of the children then told Karen to put the baby’s things in the family car, but she continued to express her frustration at the disagreement.
“That pissed me off. Don’t you dare do that s***,” he said, shouting a little. “You don’t know what I’m going through and what I’ve been through, you’re going through what he said, I’m the one who carried you behind, I’m the one who told the doctors no when they asked me to abort your pregnancy, don’t do that again because you’ll make me regret it, don’t play with me.
One of the children repeatedly told her mother, “It’s okay,” as she continued to get angry. In the midst of his frustration, another child who appeared to be one of Karen’s children said, “No wonder why you say you are going to kill me.”
“No, I never said [that] I thought I would kill you if you offended me… because you don’t respect me because your behind is open,” said Karen, shooting back. “That’s why you did that. Don’t say anything.”
