Karlie Kloss Reveals She Met Donald Trump

Karlie Kloss she talks about her connection to the Trump family about her marriage to her husband Joshua Kushner.
“Well, I know who I am,” said the model, 33, on Wednesday, July 1, in an interview with Bloomberg Originals. “I know the values that guide my life and the issues that I care about. So, you know, I haven’t lost sight of who I am, but also, my husband’s family.”
Joshua, who married Kloss in 2018, is her younger brother Jared Kushnerson-in-law and former senior adviser to the President Donald Trump. (Jared, now serving as Special Envoy for Peace in Trump’s second administration, is married to Donald’s daughter. Ivanka Trump as of 2009.)
“I have never met President Trump,” Kloss said.
Kloss explained that although he does not agree with the members of his father-in-law’s family in politics, they are able to meet despite their differences.
“From a very early age, I’ve been exposed to a lot of different political views, and I think that’s trained me for life. You know, I’m a Democrat,” he reflected. “I think it’s possible to have relationships with people you don’t agree with politically. And I think this country has always been a place of dialogue. We have to be able to dialogue.”
Kloss also opened up about her decision to convert to Judaism with her husband.
“I fell in love with someone whose faith was a big part of who they were,” she told the newspaper. “And I knew from the beginning and the choice that I wanted that in my life. I’m very proud of that.”
Since exchanging vows, Kloss and Joshua have welcomed three children: sons Levi, 5, and Elijah, 3, and daughter Rae, 9 months. Kloss previously spoke about how grateful she is to have Joshua by her side for all of the couple’s milestones.
“We’ve been together since I was 19. We grew up together. He’s always been my biggest champion, especially in this adjustment to motherhood,” she told Joshua during a May 2025 appearance on the “Aspire” podcast. She was the person who said, ‘Karlie, you can’t lose yourself. You’re not going to be happy and our kids are going to feel that way.’
Kloss added that connecting with Joshua at a young age helped them establish a strong foundation.
“Because we met when we were young, we went through a lot together and really grew up together,” he explained. “I think that’s also part of why our relationship is so strong.”
