From The Big Bang Theory‘s George and Mandy get out of Tim AllenIt’s a sitcom Changing gears, These are hardly the first TV shows to have a controversial age gap at the center of the story.
Pretty Little Liarswhich premiered in 2010, introduced viewers to Aria (Lucy Haleand Ezra (Ian Harding). While some fans focused on the fictional couple, many were not happy with the problematic way that Aria is dating her teacher, Ezra.
After ten years, Georgie and Mandy’s First Wedding focuses on the happy ending of the iconic couple – despite the 12-year age difference – after the characters meet The Big Bang Theory‘s Young Sheldon prequel.
“It gives Georgie a place to go,” commented Montana Jordan, who plays Georgie Us October 2024. “In this new show, Georgie finally shows that he’s not just this dumb kid. He actually has sense to him. And for Young Sheldon I’m sure he’s been overlooked a lot. Maybe being the king of the wheels is his way of showing and proving to people that he’s not this dumb kid. [but a mature adult]. He actually has some sense in him.”
