If there’s one fashion girl staple that seems like a worthy investment, it’s a red sweater. This piece has been a staple of our social media feed all winter (long overdue for the holidays!), and while we recently wondered if it was too late to buy, Tina Fey proved that the style works in summer, too.
In early June, the comedian, writer and producer showed up at the Tribeca Film Festival in a fiery polo shirt, turning the piece into a summery look with light gray pants and eye-catching white heels. While we loved everything about her high-waisted, expensive-looking dress, her tight collared skirt remained in our minds, tempting. Us find a similar style on Amazon.

We don’t know where Fey got his polo, but it seems to be somewhere in the sweatshirt family rather than a heavy knit, which is why the Yucolen Long Sleeve Polo is a different option. Made from a cotton blend, this selection is lightweight and airy and, like the star version, features a collar and button-up. Sizing ranges from small to XXL, and since Fey’s sweater is extremely large, we’d recommend sizing up to copy her comfortable look.
It’s easy to write off the basics as boring, but what you get for Amazon is anything but. Aside from that eye-catching color, it’s something that can be worn over and over again, paired with creative statement pieces like printed pants or served as the star of the show. Fey provided plenty of style inspiration with her shiny, light-colored pants, but we also think it’s worn with denim shorts and sandals for a nautical vibe, or paired with a white maxi skirt for a patio night. Also, while the price tag is less than $20 it makes the shirt a lot i the opposite of the investment piece, it will still behave as one. After the summer is over, this polo will look great with jeans, leather pants and fall plaid skirts.
Amazon buyers report that the Yucolen piece is also “comfortable and beautiful,” even calling it a “soft” polo they have had and labeled it a “What matters every day.”
One reviewer, who was surprised at how “slim” the design was, said the style looked “just plain rich” tucked under a blazer, which is a bonus given the price.
