It’s no secret that finding well-fitted swimwear can be difficult if you have a large bust. As a size 34D, this is a struggle I am all too familiar with. If I’m wearing a swimsuit, you’ll probably find me running after my kids at the beach or swimming pool, so I need to wear something supportive and comfortable. I prefer a one-piece swimsuit, and most I’ve tried don’t cut – most slide everything down.
I’m at the beach several times a week, so not having a swimsuit collection isn’t an option for me. I’ve spent years poring over a collection of one-piece bathing suits that look and feel good on me. I prefer underwire bra tops (but I don’t like it when it’s underwire again transparent) and always go for a flattering, fit-like fit. 1. What I like: This budget-friendly one-piece checks all my boxes. It has a flattering shape that hides the tummy, a slightly turned-up bodice and wide straps that hold everything up. Also, the list of available colors offers a lot of options.
2. Bright and Fun: Make a splash in this pink one-piece with a beautiful cut and movement all over. I find this kind of V-neck style very supportive and flattering, even without the underwire, so I love this one. Also, the straps are adjustable and fall in the back for extra support.
3. Not so Basic Black: If you want your swimsuit to fit like a swimsuit, it’s hard to find a better option than this tight Miraclesuit. This pulls everything in and shows off your curves, and has underwear cups with a subtle design (in other words, it doesn’t look like you’re wearing a bra).
4. Flattering Fit: If I’m going to go underwire, I’m going to wear a V-neck one-piece like this one. The top is incredibly supportive and shows a little skin, something that can be hard to achieve with an underwire one-piece. Ruching everything is just a benefit.
5. Pool to Lunch: If I know I’m on a day chasing my kids around a body of water, I reach for this swimsuit. It has a side tie and wrap skirt style that makes it look fresh and chic rather than granny, and it’s incredibly comfortable.
6. Baywatch Vibes: This Andie piece is different from my usual swimsuit rules. It has removable pads, but the under-bust elastic is able to provide enough support and lift, so those pads do come in handy when it comes to shaping. It’s also comfortable and a great base.
7. Keeps Everything Inside: This sculpted swimsuit costs extra. It has a corset-like design that not only absorbs everything and makes your waist look smaller, but also adds a little support. Plus, there’s a built-in shelf bra that keeps everything organized. I’ve worn mine for years, and it still looks almost brand new.
8. Worth the Splurge: Another purchase worth the splurge is this chic metallic one piece. The sheer fabric and belt loops make it look comfortable, and it has an underwire bra for plenty of support.
9. Simple and Supportive: For a slightly different style, choose this small piece. It has a raised balconette-style baseboard, with no extra comfort padding. Bonus: it has UPF 50 sun protection.
10. Select Best Sellers: This popular one-piece swimsuit offers plenty of coverage and support, with a wide, adjustable waistband and a curved front. The ruching is all flattering, and there are removable shaping pads.
11. Looks Expensive: I love the unique neckline and cut-out design of this messy bathing suit, which makes it stand out. It has a built-in underwire for maximum support and adjustable straps for a customized fit.
12. Sporty Chic: Although this one-piece leg top has no underwire, it does have sewn-in cups that provide subtle lift, support and shaping. It’s a comfortable, sporty style that feels versatile.
13. Wrap Style: Flattering, comfortable and durable, this one-piece swimsuit has been one of my favorites for years. It holds up well over time and always gets compliments. There’s no underwire, so it’s comfortable, and that V-neck wrap still provides enough support.
14. Cut the Cutter: With a minimal cut to show some skin and a basic design that keeps you comfortable, this one piece is the best all around. I love the feel of clothes that flatter and hold everything in place.
