Rob Schneider Defends MLB Players Wearing Bible Verses

Rob Schneider shows his support for professional athletes who want to wear Bible verses on their team uniforms.
“Dear professional baseball players, ANY player in ANY professional LEAGUE who has been PAID by their league for refusing to be FORCED to participate in WOKE LEFTIST AGENDAS, who refuses to wear a ridiculous uniform (or cleats), @TPUSA and I WILL PAY any of your fines!” Schneider, 62, wrote with X Thursday, June 18. “You signed a contract to play baseball, you didn’t sign a contract to conflict with your deeply held Christian beliefs.
He signed the position in his name with Turning Point USA, a non-profit organization founded by the late Charlie Kirk which promotes revolutionary politics.
Schneider was an artist an outspoken critic of Major League Baseball behind three San Francisco Giants pitchers – Landen Roupp, JT Brubaker again Ryan Walker — wrote a different verse from Genesis 9:12-16 on their Pride Night hats, establishing the rainbow as an eternal symbol of God’s covenant with Noah and all living creatures on earth.
According to Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.), three players were reportedly “issued warnings” regarding the helmets.
In a statement, a Major League Baseball spokesman said the organization’s “general warning” to Giants players had “nothing to do” with what they wrote on their hats.
“We respect the players’ right to free speech,” the league said on Tuesday, June 16. “We have given the same warning many times in the past to players with messages such as ‘Dad,’ ‘Happy Mother’s Day, I Love Mom’ and names of family members.”
Schneider, however, continues to criticize MLB for allegedly treating Giants players.
“Baseball players signed up to play baseball. What part of their contract says, ‘Oh, you have to promote our left-wing ideology that may be against your beliefs?'” he asked during an appearance on Tuesday at. Fox News Live. “Why are they trying to make baseball gay? We have enough gay sports.”
Not a single Giants player was fined or disciplined.
Pride Night with the Giants was an event held on June 12 at Oracle Park in San Francisco. The event included pre-game festivities, in-game celebrations and a post-game fireworks display featuring music by LGBTQIA+ artists.
“I think you have the right as a player to believe and say whatever you want,” the Bulls broadcaster said Mike Krukow he told i San Francisco Chronicle on Monday, June 15. “But you have to take a closer look at the city you’re playing in. What makes San Francisco so great is the acceptance of others—race, opinion, culture—and that extends to the gay community as well.”
